Phillipsdale Landing’s history goes far deeper than just the buildings or businesses that have come before. It’s part of the landscape itself, contributing to the community and adding inherent value to all those associated with it. Claim a property that’s truly worth investing in.
Phillipsdale Landing is the culmination of over a century of growth and prosperity on the banks of the Seekonk river in East Providence. A walk through its sixteen buildings reveals a legacy of innovation and achievement dating from its origin in 1893 as the plant for Eugene Phillips' American Electrical Works. In 1900, the Washburn Wire Company built a steel plant in the adjacent lot.
These companies merged and expanded rapidly for decades to come, erecting additional mills, plants, and furnaces. Taking full advantage of the adjacent river and railroad tracks, Phillipsdale Landing has remained a central piece of Providence's industrial economy to the present day.
